Our pork belly roasting joint is bone-in, which adds more flavour and helps keep moisture locked in while it cooks. Our butcher has scored the skin to give beautiful crispy crackling.

Product is sold frozen to go straight into your freezer or to thaw in your fridge.

 

Our Pork

Our pork was raised by us in the heart of the South Downs National Park. A pig’s natural habitat is woodland and at Slow Grown Farm, our rare-breed pigs live in 10 acres of woodland where they forage for insects, nuts and plants. Our pig’s diet is supplemented with organic soy-free pig feed and the whey from our cheesemaking.

Cooking Instructions

Pat the joint dry and sprinkle the skin with salt. Per kilo of meat, roast at 140-150 degrees C for 2-2.5 hours, then finish at 240 degrees C for 15-20 minutes for maximum crackling.
