Higher-Welfare Black Pepper Guanciale
Higher-Welfare Black Pepper Guanciale
We make our guanciale by hand from our woodland reared pork, simply spiced with organic black pepper. Guanciale is used at the start of dishes like ragu or carbonara but it can also be used as a pizza topping, in a quiche or as a base for a stew.
Minimum 80g, cook before eating.
Our Pork
Our Pork
Our pork was raised by us in the heart of the South Downs National Park. A pig’s natural habitat is woodland and at Slow Grown Farm, our rare-breed pigs live in 10 acres of woodland where they forage for insects, nuts and plants. Our pig’s diet is supplemented with organic soy-free pig feed and the whey from our cheesemaking.
